Coming Up This Month - Helpful Reminders

By the end of October, most FastDirect schools will be wrapping up the grading period for 1st quarter. Here are some FastDirect functions that may need to be addressed:

  • Closing input for 1st mid-quarter reports
  • Opening up teacher input for 1st quarter ReportCards
  • Closing 1st quarter ReportCards when teachers have finished importing grades

If your school started in late August or early September, then you may be gearing up for mid-quarter reports. Click the newsletter button below to read about the two different ways to create progress reports.

Review Your ReportCards! One very important step in creating report cards is to make sure everything has been set up correctly. This requires viewing a student’s report card to double check:

  • Course names
  • Subcategories
  • Grade scales/marking codes
  • Formatting
  • Printing

Please note that ReportCard changes can take up to a week to process.

Administrators: The professional school photos that are taken of all the students each year can be uploaded to your school’s site and will be displayed when viewing the student’s information.

Teachers: We’ve made a few changes to the Bulletin Board feature and hope you like them. Check out the new and updated backgrounds – there is even one with rockets!

Parents: When viewing or updating your parent information in FastDirect, it is easy to overlook the field for Cell Phone Provider. If you have a cell phone number in your parent account, you must select a cell phone provider in order for FDbroadcast or Text Notifications to work.
