The beginning of school can be a crazy time but HelpDesk is here to help make it easier. With the start of school quickly approaching, FastDirect wants to make sure your school is ready. In addition to completing the Summer Transition steps, there are several other items to be addressed. To stay on top of the many features and settings that need to be reviewed for the start of school, we have created a checklist for administrators and teachers. Click the links below:

Our Admin Users Guide and Users Guide for Teachers could be your new best friends! They won’t bring you a fancy coffee drink in the morning but it might make using FastDirect a little easier.  Besides, if you still have questions, you can always reach out to HelpDesk for help. We love making new friends!

The guide for administrators will cover everything from setting up teacher’s grade books to changing attendance in Monitor.

The guide for teachers will cover Attendance, Lunch, and GradeBook.

If parents are having trouble viewing attachments or links in FDmail when logged in on the Parent App, we have some steps to make it easier!

For iPhones:

  1. Press and hold link/attachment
  2. Click ‘Open Link’

For Android:

  1. Press the link/attachment
  2. Select the app you would like the file/attachment to open in
  3. Select ‘Always’ to indicate this is how you want to open these type of files; After you create that setting your files will open automatically by clicking on the link.

If you are a learning consultant at your school, it might be necessary for you to have access to all student grades and report cards. FastDirect has a way to permission specific accounts for this access. This feature, which needs to be requested by a principal, will give a specific staff account access to every students’ gradebook grades and report cards.

If you feel this is necessary for your position, have the principal contact HelpDesk, asking to give your staff account access to all grade books and report cards.

We have a Parent App! Yes, technically we announced it at the end of last year but we’re just so excited about it! We want to make sure all parents (current and new) know all about it!

Parents/guardians can click on their phone’s App store icon below to download the FastDirect App. After it’s downloaded, parents can open it and follow the prompts to get logged in! After logging in once, their login will be remembered.
